Kheer Bhawani, or the Ragnya Devi temple is a Hindu temple situated at a distance of 25 kilometres north-east of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, in the village of Tulmulla in Ganderbal.
The temple attributes its unique name to the famous Indian dessert kheer, which is the main offering to the goddess. Maharaja Pratap Singh built this temple in 1912, which was later renovated by Maharaja Hari Singh.
After heightened security arrangements, hundreds of devotees, mainly Kashmiri Pandits, Friday (June 14) paid obeisance at Kheer Bhawani Peeth (temple) in Jammu outskirts to mark the beginning of 3-day Mela Kheer Bhawani.
It is estimated that 80,000 migrant Kashmiri Pandits from various parts of India and abroad will take part in this annual fair.
